He formerly competed in Bellator MMA, where he was the last Light Heavyweight World Champion, and the UFC, where he competed in the light heavyweight division, and was the light heavyweight winner on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn and achieved success as a top 5 UFC light heavyweight contender. As of March 26, 2026, he is #2 in the PFL men's pound-for-pound rankings.
