Frank Mir, is an American former mixed martial artist. He competed in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) throughout the 2000s and 2010s, before finishing his pro MMA career in Bellator MMA in 2019. A former UFC Heavyweight Champion, he holds the record for the most submission victories in UFC Heavyweight history. A 27-fight UFC veteran, Mir formerly possessed the longest uninterrupted tenure of any fighter in the promotion's history, as he was under UFC contract from November 2001 until July 2017. He was the first man to knock out and the first to submit Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira.
