Fans Predict Rob Font Vs. David Martinez – ‘Wins By KO'

Rob Font faces David Martinez in a bantamweight clash, as fans gave their verdict.

After a difficult stretch that saw him go 1-4, Font has gotten decision wins over Kyler Phillips and Jean Matsumoto to propel him in the top-ten. A win over a Martinez increases his rise up the rankings, taking a step closer to a title shot. Martinez, for his part, has won his last eight fights. He is coming off a first-round stoppage win over Saimon Oliveira on his UFC debut. Another win will propel his UFC career to new heights, as a rising star.

"I don’t care too much about what the opponent is doing or what he could potentially do. I know I’m working on my striking, my wrestling and my jiu-jitsu. Some coaches get mad at me about that and I’m like, ‘Trust me. I hope this opponent stays in and I hope I get to the fight.’ It sucks that it happened so many times, but it’s one of those things where I’m not trying to be tough, but I really don’t care who I’m fighting because I know what I’m trying to do and what I expect myself to do," Font said

"Yeah, I’m really excited for him. I think, you know, in my opinion, I think Rob is levels above him in terms of skill coming in. I’m not taking away from David Martinez’s power. He’s got a lot of TKOs’s and KOs, of course. But he’s coming into a real reach disadvantage and in the jab game, I feel like Rob is levels ahead with the jab.
