Rak Erawan thought maybe things were moving in his favor at ONE Friday Night Fights 41 in November 2023. After a disastrous first round, where he was knocked down twice by Songchainoi Kiatsongrit, Erawan registered a knockdown of his own in the second period. But Erawan’s knockdown wasn’t enough to turn the fight around.

Kiatsongrit posted a strong third round to pick up the victory and earn a six-figure contract to be on ONE’s global roster. Now, Erawan will have an opportunity to get revenge this Friday at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, according to MMAfighting latest news. Erawan will have a difficult task on his hands.

Songchainoi is 6-0 since he joined ONE Championship. He has knocked out three of his opponents so far. Erawan is no slouch himself. During his time with the promotion, he has piled up a 4-1 record.

The question for Erawan is has he made enough group to win the rematch? It will be a fun test for both fighters. There will be 10 Muay Thai fights on the card, while there will also be two MMA fights as well. Erawan is hoping to produce a big upset win this weekend to gain some hype for his career.

Petlampun Looks to Keep Pushing Pace

Petlampun Muadablampang has passed every test since he joined ONE. Petlampun grabbed four straight victories and will now try to continue that streak against a dangerous newcomer in a 128-pound catchweight fight. Silangern Lanna Waterside had a long list of accolades before he came to the promotion.

Silangern has taken on many top competitors on the regional circuit. It has been important for Silangern to fight high-level opposition, according to MMA latest updates. Silangern has won the Siam Omnoi Stadium and Muay Thai championships.

Petlampun has shown off the power in his hands a lot during his career. Petlampun has knocked out two of his four opponents in ONE.

Chartpayak Would Like to Continue the Party

There’s nothing wrong with winning by decision. There is a segment of the Muay Thai fanbase that appreciates a high-paced, technical battle. But Chartpayak Saksatoon has been putting his opponents away in exciting fashion as of late.

Chartpayak has picked up back-to-back KOs and will want another win against Porsanae Sor Phumipat. Porsanae will enter this fight with a lot to prove. He has yet to win a fight in ONE.

Chartpayak will have a good opportunity to fight Porsanae, who needs to rebuild his confidence following a loss.

Superball Wankhongohm is Ready for His Next Challenge

Superball Wankhongohm MBK has gotten into a good run of fights in ONE. To start his career, Superball has piled up three straight victories. There have been a few things that Superball has yet to accomplish since he joined ONE.

Superball has won all three of his fights by decision. He will need to start picking up some knockouts if he wants to stand out from the crowd. He will be taking on Russian fighter Ilyas Musaev.

Musaev has been an all-or-nothing kind of fighter in ONE so far. All four of Musaev’s losses in the promotion have come on the scorecards. Both of his victories have come by knockout.

Abdulla Dayakaev Seeks More Momentum

Abdulla Dayakaev has already carved out a niche for himself so far in ONE. But as his career moves forward, he will need to be more emphatic with his performances. Dayakaev is 3-0 so far in ONE, but his victories have been less than convincing.

Dakayaev has picked up two of his three victories via majority decision. Fighting Ongbak Fairtex will be a strong challenge for Dakayaev to continue his winning streak.

Russians Ready for MMA Battle

Nachyn Sat struggled to find his fighting style during his time on the regional circuit. However, things changed as he started to gain more experience. When Sat ended up in ONE Championship after starting his career 4-2, he quickly showed he was beyond some of his previous failures.

Sat picked up back-to-back victories to start his ONE Championship career. Both of his wins have come by finishing with Sat producing one submission and one knockout. Fellow Russian Ivan Dondarchuk is hoping to follow the same type of path.

Dondarchuk started his career 4-3 before he finally started to gain some momentum. He is now on a six-fight unbeaten streak. After getting stuck in one no contest, Dondarchuk is on a roll with three straight wins. He will need to keep up that momentum to beat his countryman.

Can Yoddoi Continue Upward Trajectory?

Yoddoi Kaewsamrit finally halted a three-fight losing streak during his last appearance in the ring. Yoddoi had struggled to impress people on the scorecards during his early time in the promotion. So, during Yoddoi’s last fight, he took the judges out of the equation.

Yoddoi won his last fight over Nonchamp Luckybyntherng by knockout during the first round. Now, he will look to turn things around again. Yoddoi’s next opponent has also appeared to have his fair share of struggles in ONE.

Chokdee Maxjandee won his first two fights in ONE. However, things quickly soured for Chokdee. He has lost three of his past four fights. Unlike Yoddoi, Chokdee has struggled more with losing via knockout. He has lost two of his last three fights by KO.

While Chokdee has more success in ONE than Yoddoi, he will still have to prove that he has the ability to win fights at a high level.

Here’s a look at the other fights on the card not mentioned above:

  • Muay Thai (126-pound catchweight), Padejsuk Looksuan vs. Pettaweesak Sangmorakot
  • Muay Thai (113-pound catchweight), Rifdean Masdor vs. Petaek Sitbigjasskonrakpathum
  • Muay Thai (133-pound catchweight) Petmuangsri Wankhongohm MBK vs. Assadulah Imangazaliev
  • Muay Thai (124-pound catchweight), Timur Chuikov vs. Issei Yonaha
  • MMA strawweight, Faine Mesquita vs. Yuka Okutomi
