Sara Bailey vs. Evelin Nazarena Bermudez face off this weekend in a junior flyweight clash, as we look at how the fight could play out.

The unification sees the WBA World Champion Bailey looking to add the IBF/WBO belt held by Evelin Nazarena Bermudez. Baile brings an undefeated record of 6-0 into the ring. This bout marks her first opportunity to unify world titles. She earned her WBA belt with a convincing unanimous decision win over Guadalupe Bautista in April 2024, a victory that made her the fastest Canadian professional boxer to win a world championship.

Bermudez first captured the IBF title in 2018 when she defeated Guadalupe Bautista. She unified the division with the WBO belt on March 26, 2022. She lost both titles to Yokasta Valle, but won them back by beating Tania Enriquez.

Everyone keeps asking when I’m going to fight in the States, but why would I? I have so much control here. I don’t want to give up control," Bailey said
