Who Will Fight On The UFC White House Card?

Dana White has confirmed that the UFC will host a live event at the White House on July 4, 2026, as we look at who could appear on the card.

White made the announcement on social media, stating that they "got it done" after a meeting at the White House. The idea for the event was first floated by President Donald Trump, who wants to accommodate 20,000 to 25,000 spectators for what he called a "championship fight" as part of a larger "Patriot Games" celebration. All tickets for the event will be complimentary. White also mentioned that Ivanka Trump, the President’s daughter, will be working with him.

"It was a great day. I’m about to take off here from Washington, D.C. The White House fight is on. I will have more details on that in the next couple weeks. We got it done today," White said 

Who Will Feature?

One of the most talked-about possibilities is Conor McGregor. The former two-division champion has publicly expressed his interest in fighting at the White House event. For instance, he could face a rival like Michael Chandler, a fight that has been years in the making. He reportedly has two fights left on his current deal and his recent return to the drug-testing pool suggests this event is a strong motivator for his return.

Another potential headliner is welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena. As a reigning champion who just won his title in May 2025, he is a prime candidate to defend his belt on this historic card. If he can get past his November 2025 fight with Islam Makhachev, he would be a lock for the White House event. His style, which has led to him defeating notable fighters like Gilbert Burns and Kevin Holland, makes him a credible name.

While Dana White has expressed doubts about Jon Jones, the possibility of him fighting on the card is not entirely out of the question. The former two-division champion recently announced his retirement, but his subsequent re-entry into the drug-testing pool upon hearing about the White House event shows his interest. A fight for Jones, who is widely considered one of the greatest fighters of all time, would be a huge draw especially if he faces Tom Aspinall.
