Usyk’s Promoter Gives Fury One More Chance – ‘Take It Or Leave It'

Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, has given an ultimatum to Tyson Fury over an undisputed fight.
The two sides have been unable to agree to the biggest fight in boxing, despite being on the cusp for a bout in April.
Usyk had accepted a 70-30 split, but it was not enough to push the fight into existence. Since then, Usyk has moved on with his mandatories as he faces Daniel Dubois on August 26th, 2023.
Meanwhile, Fury has been confirmed as fighting Francis Ngannou on October 28th, 2023.
That has left the fight in limbo, as Fury’s WBC mandatory has still not played out, while facing an MMA star would not be enough to get the ‘Gypsy King’ in prime condition for Usyk.
But those obstacles can be overcome, at least according to Krassyuk.
"It might happen, with only one condition: that Tyson Fury agrees to fight Oleksandr Usyk. That’s it. We’ve done everything needed to make it happen. Now the ball is on their side.
"If he accepts the take it or leave it offer from the Saudis, which will triply exceed his ever-biggest purse he ever received. And if he turns it down, read the real content of his actions."
Ultimately, it is a question of whether Fury has the desire to have another blockbuster fight. Negotiations with Anthony Joshua were equally not productive, as suggestions emerged that Fury was imposing unreasonable demands.
That is only going to decrease Fury’s standing in light of the public and his fellow professionals.
Both Usyk’s team and now Anthony Joshua have called out Fury’s perceived double standards, with question marks over whether the ‘Gypsy King’ was ever interested in facing the Ukrainian.
"Fury saying he was training for Oleksandr Usyk, then SugarHill Steward (his trainer) came out and said, ‘No, I’m not training him.
"What do you mean I’m training him for a heavyweight championship fight?’You can see all the lies that’s been going on," Joshua said
Fury propelled himself back to the forefront of the heavyweight division with his trilogy with Deontay Wilder, but there is a danger that the WBC champion’s popularity is falling.
